Legal

Privacy policy

Last updated October 23, 2026.

This policy explains what data the Dead Road Survivors game (“the game”) and this website handle, why, and the choices you have. The game is made by XY Digital SRL (“we”). Questions: support@deadroadsurvivors.com.

The short version

  • No ads and no advertising tracking.
  • We keep what the game needs to run: a player ID, your saved progress, your leaderboard name and scores, and your purchases.
  • You can delete your account and everything saved with it from inside the game.

What the game collects

Account

The game signs you in as a guest and creates a random player ID through Unity Authentication. If you choose to link Sign in with Apple or Game Center, we receive the account identifier that service provides so you can recover your progress. We do not receive your Apple ID password.

Game progress

Your progress (Player Level and XP, Scrap, Road Coins, what you own, upgrades, camp, achievements, collection, settings that sync and records such as best runs) is stored with Unity Cloud Save so it survives a reinstall.

Leaderboards and display name

Run results are sent to our server, checked and placed on leaderboards with your display name, the badge you wear and the car you used. Other players can see these. Until you pick a name you appear as SURVIVOR plus four characters of your player ID. Names are filtered for offensive words.

Purchases

When you buy Road Coins, the game sends the store's transaction ID to our server, which asks Apple (or Google) to confirm it before adding the coins. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card or payment details.

Co-op

Same-Wi-Fi co-op uses your local network to find and connect to your friend's phone. Online co-op connects through Unity Relay, which handles connection data such as IP addresses to link the two phones for the session. Your display name and the badge you wear are shown to the friend you play with.

On your phone

Sound and control settings are kept on your phone. Runs played offline wait on the phone until they can be sent.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
  • We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • We don't collect your precise location, contacts, photos or microphone.

Service providers

  • Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services: Authentication, Cloud Save, Cloud Code, Leaderboards, Relay) hosts accounts, saves, leaderboards and online co-op. See Unity's privacy policy.
  • Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, Game Center) and Google (Google Play) handle downloads, purchases and the sign-in services you choose to link.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and progress until you delete them. Weekly leaderboards reset every Monday; all-time leaderboards keep your best results until you ask us to remove them.

Your choices and rights

  • Delete your account: tap your portrait › PROFILE › DELETE ACCOUNT (tap twice). This removes your account and cloud save. See Delete account, which also explains how to have leaderboard entries removed.
  • Change your name: LEADERBOARDS › CHANGE NAME.
  • Access or correction: email support@deadroadsurvivors.com with your player ID. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have further rights, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.

This website

This site doesn't use cookies or set any tracking. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running.

Changes

If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the game if the change matters.
